One of my sketchs. I made using HB pencil, Its beauty lies in effect of rain on skin, cloths, hairs even though rain drops are not prominent
Think I made you guess right. Its one of most liked sketch. A dark background truly brings out her sharp features. Her eyes took a while to draw. This could be my next entry for display.
It seemed bit tough before I thought to paint. I focussed mainly on butterfly, eye, mouth and the blood. No idea why I choosed to paint this, may be I wasn't happy.
'Taste of Rain' (Sold out)
I found pretty easy to paint this little girl enjoying the taste of rain. drops of rain were diffcult to make due to brush thickness. Its background could be more vivid. expressions and body language came out well.
'On the Rocks'
I feel hairy animals are much tougher than portraits, due to fine painting nd detail required. I think need much thinner brush. He's bend over one side but due to symmetry it gives a normal look as if hes relaxed , still focused.
Another three layer painting on second sheet 16x12 size, I bought recently from hobby shop. Drawing part I felt could be trickier was much easier due to many references to pick. She doesnt look as pretty in mirror than her back. Looks could be decieving!. Hope you like this painting.
Its 14x10' oil on paper textured canvas. hope you not mistaking him for heath ledger (if i spell correctly). This was pretty easy portrait to make due to no effort in drawing part and colors could be adjusted easily unlike with 'Reflection' painting.
Quite satisfied with her facial color and expression. I think its better than 'muggle'. Her hairs are made bit in rush, since I was trying to cut short my time spent on one painting. Can you help me with a better title?
'No one else to tell'
I found pretty quick and easy to make. The picture was amazingly beatiful which inspired me to make an oil portrait of her. Its topic does relate a bit state of mind.
A bad selection to make this picture using oil paints. A very simple photo but took a great effort to get it right. My first painting after a long gap.
Much satisfied on the drawing part. another 16x12 size ( am running out of paper). I still find portraits challenging. Few places in 'Brace' I had no clue how different colors relating each other.
I feel more confident on portraits. Drawing part was very easy. I think I can take on real sitting portraits instead of 2D photographs.
'After a futile attempt of Muggle, I decided to try once again. It turned out better than 'muggle' in accuracy, another 16x12 oil on paper textured canvas. This is the last painting on such a sheet. from now am moving to hard canvas sheets and bigger in size but would still stick to portraits.
This goes to the most precious personality. My Dad. Always encouraged me to draw since I picked up the brush.Though not perfect but close to real photograph. I'm xerox copy of my dad :)
This could have been done much better. I lost my patience which affected its finishing. Drawback of painting on sunday when next day have to go for work. I should have started friday or saturday. Oil on canvas board 14x11 size.
'Shower' ( Sold Out )
This was tougher than I thought. I'm not comfortable painting animals with lot of fur. Its a 2 layer painting with most white as dominant color. Boy tries to scare his pet but it seems to enjoy the water. Enjoy Shower !
14x11 oil on canvas, tried to make one of my good friend. It nearly took me 3 days to complete, however it still have some errors esp in drawing part .
Recently bought charcaol drawing materials, this one is my first entry. I dint thought it will come better than expected. I found a new technique almost at the end of drawing. I'll try in my next work. Hope it turns better.
This time I used eraser for smudging instead of stub. Seems it worked well. Much satisfied with this charcoal drawing. Few more charcoals then, I'll switch to oils again.
'Dervish' (Sold out)
Normally my selection of photo depends on my mood. here i picked opposite may be that why I was loosing focus and interest. In the end it came out ok inspite of having a 5-6 months of painting gap. 'Dervish' relates to islam preacher who does body movement in praise of lord. however this picture gets essence of dance without thinking anyone around. Its good to be a dancer sometimes ! feels gud. Try it
This one is among my favourite photograph of a tiger sleeping under snow. I usually get scared of furry animals due to bad attempt at 'On rocks' painting. This one I picked fair easily. Enjoy a rare snow with a rare specie
Was pretty quick charcoal drawing of Keira Knight (if thats right..). I used a professional drawing paper to draw her. Its high contrast shades makes this photo real appealing. I bought few art materials from germany. am yet to use them after one more attempt of a real photograph in Charcoal.
I followed a tutorial on painting and followed its steps, though very slow process but delivers a good result. I'll try to combine this new way with my current style.
This painting took me a week to complete, I implemented similar method as I did in moonlight. really. patience pays well sometimes. I worked more on her hair structure and studied different lights and shadows. Very much satisfied with this painting.
I painted this picture while preparing for 2nd Chitrasanthe event. I tried glazing effect here which worked well. It relates to one of famous portrait of an Afghan women but it actually isn't.
Rays is my attempt to make an abstract to know my comfort level. Well, abstract look weird and easy due to random criss cross, patch fill etc. however its not the case. This took equal amount of time and effort as it takes while making a portraits.
Boy playing with water and having eye catching expression and the work compliment each other
'Black Prism' (Sold out)
They do emit rays in virtual world. Hope the new buyer will look after it well.
Its a 3 layer work. her transparent attire came out better than I expected. I struggled on droplets but still couldn't find a good technique to do droplets. In 'Boyhood' the droplets were made individually. In this I tried combination with brush spray. Really doubt it worked. I'm still clueless on how to achieve
'Raquet Tailed Roller'
This one was pretty easy for me to make. I'm comfortable on paint side however after I finished I realized my mistake in the drawing part.neverthless , I would surely sell this painting in my next show.
